Director Stanley Kubrick's <i>modus operandi</i> required that a cloak of secrecy envelope the movie throughout its production. But even before cameras started rolling, rumors began to circulate. Sex scenes with Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman would be explicit! Not true. The movie would feature necrophilia! Not true.
