The Process of Life in 2001: A Space Odyssey
Ever since it was released in 1968, moviegoers have argued about how to interpret Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey. This would be particularly appropriate if the film were about life's perhaps most widely-pondered mystery: the mystery of life; and I believe that, upon a strict examination of the entire structure and movement of the film, one aspect of this is precisely what Kubrick allegorically documents: the process of the creation of life, from seed to seedling.
