Its film industry, too, is wrestling with the same problems as any other non-American one, struggling to survive under the juggernaut of Titanics. After the mid-decade crisis, more films are coming out, both trashy and quality. Yet, as the pressure from Disney et al is rising, so is the gap between the commerce and art.
